Who we are
gentik.si is run by BMC SAASY TECH LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12454158), Flat 338, 372 Old Street, London, EC1V 9LT. We are the data controller for what this page collects. Reach us through our contact form.
What we keep, and why
- Your email address and the products you ticked, so we can email you when one of them opens. We only email you once you confirm, through the link we send. The lawful basis is your consent.
- When you signed up and confirmed.
- How many confirm emails we have sent to an address (never more than three in a year), kept against a scrambled fingerprint of the address for a year, so the form can’t be used to keep emailing someone.
- A scrambled fingerprint of your IP address and of your email address, for one day, to stop the form being abused. We keep these because we have a legitimate interest in stopping abuse, and you can object to it.
How long
If you don’t confirm, your address is deleted after 7 days. If you confirm, we keep it until you take yourself off the list or ask us to delete it. The confirm email has a link to remove your address, and so does the page you see after confirming.
Who else handles it
Our hosting providers and our email provider, under contracts that only let them use it to run this service. We don’t sell it or use it for advertising. The page loads its fonts from a font provider, which sees your IP address when it sends them.
If you write to us
Messages sent through our contact form are kept with your email address so we can answer. Your address and message are deleted from our records 90 days after you sent them. A copy goes to the inbox we answer from, and we keep it there only as long as we need it to deal with your message.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give it to you in a form you can take elsewhere. You can object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Use our contact form and we answer within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
